The Hard Truth

It's so easy to stick with a stable 9-to-5 where there's a routine and a formula to follow. But for me, that same stability will never produce the dream job, the one that makes you want to wake up in the morning to conquer the world. The elusive dream job requires taking a leap of faith, and yes, it's going to be scary. It's nerve-wracking, but I think I'm ready to be scared.

Black is the New Black

On a black kick: 1/ top: Alexander Wang - skirt: Zara - Shoes: Alexander Wang Clutch + Bracelets: F21  2/ top: Asos - skirt: Preen Line - shoes: Ash - necklace: H&M 3/ top: COS - bralette: Alexander Wang - skirt: J.W. Anderson - shoes: Camilla Skovgaard - necklace: Topshop

Every season, someone out there tries to proclaim a new color as *cue dramatic music* "The New Black". But let's get real here, despite occasional moments where oxblood and tangerine have their time in the sun for a season (two if they're lucky), they're really only ever just an accent. Black is the staple color to beat out all other colors.

I should say, however, that I'm a little biased. My wardrobe has more black in it than I'd care to admit -- it just never gets old! Every time I think I have too much black in my wardrobe, a new re-imagined version of it appears and it feels fresh and new once again.
